For the past 10 years, Project OpenHand - Columbus (POHC) has provided home meal delivery, food pantry, breakfast program, monthly client luncheons, nutritional counseling and education to persons living with HIV and AIDS.

In 2004, POHC will delivered its 250,000th meal and to celebrate this occasion we are kicking off our Friends for Life campaign to raise $1.00 for every meal served. To help us reach our goal of $250,000 you can become a partner with this campaign by:
  • Sponsoring a client for a week with $14.00
  • Becoming a Founding Member by donating $14.00 per month.

We have always taken very seriously the trust placed in us with your contributions and volunteer support. POHC is able to prepare, package, and deliver meals to a client's door for just $14 per week.

We would like you to be one of our first Friend for Life members. For a monthly contribution of $14 you will become a founding member of Friends for Life! To celebrate our 250,000th meal we are also asking our friends, who are unable to make monthly contributions, to make a one-time gift of $14. Your gift of $14 whether monthly or onetime will provide meals for a client for one week. If you are able to contribute more than $14 of course, we will accept that as well!

Please consider becoming a founding member of Friends for Life! Your gift will go a long way to help POHC meet the nutritional needs of people with HIV/AIDS in the Columbus area. Your gift will also help us reach out into the minority communities where it is so desperately needed. For what you spend on one meal you can help provide seven meals for someone with HIV/AIDS.
